Marshgate Group and Braintree District Council are pleased to announce that the £24.3m major infrastructure works at the new Horizon 120 Business, Innovation & Logistics Park are now complete. The plots are therefore fully primed ready for development.

This prime 65 acre site which will support up to 750,000 sq ft of light industrial space, aimed at high-tech engineering and manufacturing, as well as logistics and retail distribution companies. The plans also include a new Enterprise Centre/Hub, which is under construction and will include on-site facilities such as a shared meeting space, conference facilities and café (due for completion Q2 2022).

Horizon 120 already boasts two new occupiers: CareCo Ltd, a leading independent distributor of care mobility products have committed to the development of a new 100,000 sq ft distribution unit; and Essex X-Ray, a world leader in the design and manufacture of high voltage engineering solutions have committed to a new 33,000 sq ft manufacturing facility.

In addition, Unit 4, 136,000 sq ft is now under offer to a leading manufacturing/distribution company and three occupiers are being lined up for a total of c 60,000 sq ft at EOS, the smaller unit, industrial /R&D element of the Park. 

Horizon 120 is located just off the A120 in Braintree, Essex between the regional growth centres of Chelmsford and Colchester. The park provides excellent road connectivity via the A131, A12 and A120 and is within 20 minutes of London Stansted Airport.

Bespoke units, ranging from 5,000 sq ft to 130,000 sq ft, are available on a freehold/leasehold Design and Build basis, for occupation from Q2 2022.
